LaserMax Secures WOSB 8(m) Certification Status

LaserMax today announced the completion of certification requirements for Small Business Administration’s new Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB) 8(m) program. The WOSB program aims to help Federal agencies meet government-wide small business contracting goals and give opportunities for WOSBs to compete for Federal contracts.

To qualify as a SBA WOSB 8 (m), a company must be at least fifty-one percent owned and controlled and managed by one or more women. The women must be U.S. citizens and the firm must be considered small according to SBA size standards.

“We are proud to earn our WOSB certification and have the opportunity to compete and win new Federal contracts,” said Susan Houde-Walter, LaserMax CEO, “These contracts allow us to provide additional opportunities for jobs here in Rochester and serve all of our customers with the highest level of service and support.”
